The woman was hospitalized on July 19, 2020 for complications related to the coronavirus.

After several weeks of hospitalization, during which she suffered from infections and kidney failure, Concepción was finally able to rid herself of the virus.

However, when her children made the request to transfer her to a rehabilitation center, they claim that the hospital rejected their request without any justification.

When they were finally able to visit her, Mijangos says that her brother noticed that something was moving in her nose.

The loved ones of Covarrubias remember her as "a very noble person, very charitable, very loved by many, by her family, by her entire neighborhood."

For their part, the legal representatives of the South Coast Global Hospital

declined to comment on the case due to pending litigation.
