The controversy broke out in Iseo, a town of just over 9,000 inhabitants in the province of Brescia, due to the word shock that appeared at the entrance of a brewery which compared the obligation of the Green pass to deportations to Nazi extermination camps.
'The Greenpass makes you free since 1940', this was read until a few days ago outside the Lakeshop pub, an inscription drawn on a black background that recalled the words 'Arbeit Macht Frei' placed at the entrance of some Nazi concentration camps.
A provocation that did not go unnoticed so much so that the local police, on the recommendation of some citizens, asked the owner of the pub to cancel it also because it was not authorized. But according to Francesco Marangoni, manager of the brewery, that written was "a provocative joke, it was not my intent to offend anyone and indeed if I did I apologize on my knees because that did not want to be a Nazi and fascist writing as they said - has explained talking on the phone with ANSA -. In my restaurant I check the Green pass and my employees are vaccinated, because of this controversy I have received many threats via social networks ".
The owner of the Lakehop is not vaccinated: "I think the tampon is safer" but for this reason "I don't want to be discriminated against".
On the Facebook page of the restaurant, where a letter of apology was posted, among the comments there are those who condemn the gesture but also those who congratulate the owner for his positions on the Green pass.
