A file without any hypothesis of crime or suspects was opened in the prosecutor's office of Novara in the context of the story of the girl born in Ukraine with surrogacy techniques and then abandoned by her biological parents.
After being invested in the case, the investigators had listened to the couple, who had confirmed their intention not to want to take over the little girl.
The child was entrusted to a Piedmontese family.
The little girl, aged 15 months, was repatriated with an operation managed by the SCIP (the Service for International Police Cooperation) and the coordination of the judiciary.
The case is being dealt with by the prosecutor's office at the Turin juvenile court and the ordinary prosecutor's office in Novara.
According to reports, the little girl was also found a Ukrainian-speaking nanny so that she could hear words in the only language she has known so far.
The family with which the child is found is to be considered "foster".
The procedure for adoption, ordered by the Turin juvenile court, will in the meantime follow its course.
