The main, and most curious, facts of the week from 6 to 12 November told with pictures
The week begins with two firsts: in Pompeii the slave room re-emerges intact (SATURDAY) while the next day (SUNDAY) the Roman band of Maneskin enters the history of rock by opening the Rolling Stones concert in Las Vegas.
And then (MONDAY) it is the turn of the removal of the remains of the Mottarone cable car, while the Lithuanian city of Kaunas (TUESDAY) is preparing to be the Capital of Culture 2022 Spectacular protests by environmentalists in Glasgow (WEDNESDAY) where at COP26 countries are struggling to confront the climate.
The pressure continues (THURSDAY) of hundreds of refugees on the border with Poland while (FRIDAY) Giampiero Galeazzi dies aged 75, his commentaries are memorable.
