While the fashion industry is heavily invested in propelling the comeback wheels of everything that was true in the first decade of the millennium, it is interesting to note that one of the strongest items of the season clearly belongs to the comeback of the decade before.
We still remember the cringe that struck us as soon as we became acquainted with the winter runways of 2013.
These introduced, among other things, clear references to 90s rock 'n' roll.
And to be precise, the problem at the time was related to the plaid flannel shirt that starred in the tough combination of red and black, perhaps the most powerful symbol representing the term grunge under the auspices of the late house model Kurt Cobain.

The nostalgic image of the lead singer of the band Nirvana in a plaid shirt and a general chic of a budget-free dresser, the same chic that was soon adopted by top designers and luxury fashion houses who wanted to convey cool rebellion, was very romantic in theory.

This happened thanks to the invention of the Shakt, a successful visual connection between a shirt and a jacket that earned a nickname that does not really work in Hebrew.
The concept itself wraps jackets and coats in the silhouette of a rugged button-down shirt with elements derived from the world of the blue collar like outer pockets in the chest or pelvic area and a rounded cut in the bottom finish.

The range of versions begins with thin shafts that fit as an autumnal top that will later become an intermediate layer and reaches up to thick, warm knee-length coats.
The overall vibe naturally sits on the Street Grove category, and despite the colorfulness one can leave the checkered shaft out of the closet because it has the coveted feature of looking like a million dollars under the guise of "I threw something at myself and left the house."
