“I mean, what's the shit!
The world is for fucking! ”The spoiled, cold-hearted son gave this to his mother at the end of the“ crime scene ”as the reason why he killed the young woman who did not want to sleep with him.
During their investigations into the murder of a student in a snowy and icy Berlin, Rubin and Karow met people who spent most of their day indulging in their lust without paying attention to their counterparts.
In our review we wrote: “At the center of the story are two families who could not be more different: On the one hand, the honest parents of the victim, who not only had their daughter taken from them, but also their idea of how this daughter wanted to live and love.
On the other hand, the parents of the perpetrator with the dirty scabbard, in whose life everything is about organizing one's own desires.
So much friction, so little warmth.
The filmmakers tell dryly that they find strong, often ambiguous situations in which to put this libido management into the picture.
The fact that the parents of the alleged perpetrator are also passionate divers who break up ice floes with their club in order to go underwater is possibly too much of the allegorical. "
We gave 7 out of 10 points.
What do you think of the cold shock crime thriller?
"The Cold and the Dead" was the penultimate episode in which Meret Becker played Inspector Rubin.
The year before last, she announced her departure from the crime series.
In her place, Corinna Harfouch and Mark Waschke will lead the investigation from 2022.
The last episode of Becker is scheduled to run in the spring of next year.
