Everyone's talking about Kosama's exhibition - now let's talk about what really matters
Yaiwi Kusama's sought-after exhibition opens today to the general public, and the nearby Pastel Restaurant does not remain indifferent and launches a special business meal for visitors, a combined card with a night tour, and a specials menu inspired by it, which brings to life the seafront Faberge egg.

The hit (and mostly hit) photographed exhibition by Japanese artist Yaiwi Kusama at the Tel Aviv Museum, though officially opens to the general public only today (November 15). And yet, it's been hard to avoid seeing her star in your Instagram feed in recent weeks, and the hand is still outstretched. The first 40,000 tickets went on sale, within two days. And every time the sale opens for later dates - the tickets are snatched up quickly, so over 100,000 tickets have been sold so far.
So while you can find all the interesting details about the exhibition in our design section, we are here to talk about the things that really matter - what to eat before or after the exhibition? After all, no recreation is truly complete without a good meal.
At the Pastel restaurant, next to the Tel Aviv Museum, anticipate the madness that will surround Kosama's special exhibition, and decide to evaluate accordingly.
Chef Kobi Bachar, who has headed the restaurant for the past two years, has built a colorful menu inspired by it, which will be served throughout the day, alongside the restaurant’s regular menu.

The special dishes are based on seasonal ingredients with touches of elements from the East. For example, in the special menu you can find dishes that correspond with the pumpkin motif at Kusama, such as
Pop Art Pumpkin
- scallops burnt on the plancha, miso, crispy wild rice and watercress salad (NIS 82) or a dessert of
crazy pumpkin
- sponge cake, compote, Sour cream, tangerine fillet and stinging spice ice cream (62 shekels).
Octopus arms
- on a charcoal grill, toilet lentils, Maggie tomato chutney, buffalo yogurt and fresh herbs (98 shekels) of course beckon the installation of the pink octopus arms displayed in the museum, there is an

Bachar, the restaurant's chef, served as Yoram Nitzan's assistant chef at Mol Yam for 10 years, and now in honor of the exhibition, he is bringing back to life one of the desserts that were most identified with the restaurant.
The Fabreza egg is a piece of art in itself, it is a kind of crystal ball made of sugar, which when broken, reveals orange whipped cream, mandarin Louisa sorbet, popsicles and fresh berries.
