(ANSA-AFP) - BRUSSELS, NOV 15 - The Anglo-Dutch hydrocarbon giant Royal Dutch Shell announced today that it wants to simplify its structure, which would result in particular in a transfer of its fiscal residence and its governing bodies from the Netherlands to UK.
"According to Shell, the simplification of the structure should ensure that the company can operate more quickly and flexibly."
The company will continue to "also have a presence in the Netherlands", and "a number of jobs will move to the UK". The Dutch government said it was "unpleasantly surprised" by the announcement.
