(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 15 - In the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in Italy so far 87% of primedosis has been administered to the vaccinable population and the goal remains to reach 90%. This was stated by the undersecretary of health, Andrea Costa, in the broadcast '24 Mattino 'on Radio24. "In the last few days there has been, albeit not with important numbers, an increase in the first doses. Today we have reached 87%, an important number, we would need to further increase this percentage to reach 90%, a share that would allow us to manage better than pandemic, "noted the undersecretary. "We are confident - he added - that even the data coming from other European countries can serve as a sensitization towards those citizens who have not yet been vaccinated. It seems clear to me that the scientific evidence today says that those who have not been vaccinated are much more likely to be infected, to end up in hospital and even in intensive care. "Costa then observed that" with the passing of days from abroad, but also from our country, data are continually arriving to support how useful vaccination is and I hope they can help us understand that the vaccine is the only way out of the pandemic ".
