French national soccer player Benjamin Mendy has been charged with two other alleged rapes in England.
The public prosecutor announced.
The 27-year-old is due to appear in court in Stockport near Manchester on Wednesday.
Mendy are now charged with six cases of rape and another sexual assault against four women.
The incidents are said to have taken place between October 2020 and August 2021, one of the alleged victims is said to have been a minor.
In addition to Mendy, a second man has been charged with rape and one sexual assault on two other counts.
The men are on remand.
Great success with Manchester City
From his club Manchester City Mendy had already been suspended until the end of the criminal proceedings at the end of August.
His contract with team manager Pep Guardiola's club is still running for almost two years.
Mendy moved from Monaco to the Premier League in 2017 for almost 60 million euros.
With City he won a total of three English championships, last season his team was in the final of the Champions League and narrowly failed at Chelsea.
With the national team, for which he last played in November 2019, he became world champion in 2018.
