The new collections in the sunglasses category are already here and as with any beginning of winter, it's time for one of our favorite traditions: a guide to the right sunglasses for the cold season.

The season that allows us to adopt the colorful and transparent lenses that are not relevant to summer in Israel, and also perhaps the mask goggles that are associated with ski vacations that we probably will not go to soon but still want to have fun with the idea that we might hang around with them a bit.

Indeed, these are two strong trends that have been with us for quite some time and, as expected, are further strengthened in terms of relevance with an innovative range of options from the major fashion houses.

Other notable trends in the field indicate the strengthening of the colorful frames which are both thicker than usual and also include the empowerment of the poles plus the logos present on them.

In terms of sanders, one can notice the geometric ones of a rectangle and ellipses that come in a narrow format alongside the oversize that continues to be a fertile breeding ground for new and exciting designs.

Of course it is impossible to give up the retro style with a futuristic touch that takes the same frames from the fifties, sixties and seventies and gives them an up-to-date glam.

And when we mention the word retro, we are referring mainly to the super-temporary classics in the form of aviator goggles, feline frames, Art Deco designs in metal frames.

But if we want to give one general headline that will convey the central message that connects all the directions we have written here, there is no escape from admitting the hard truth and that is that the strongest influence comes from the fashion of the beginning of the millennium.

A subject that we have covered quite a bit here and that still frightens us over and over again.

The main culprits are the same models that take us to the successful film fashion Matrix alongside the narrow frames and the frameless masks in a colored lens.

Here's something we did not think we would be bothered by on November 21 - Bug 2000. After a global epidemic the threshold of the coming year soared to extreme heights that were beautifully worded in promos promising the return of the popular satire program Great Country.

Fear of apocalypse with the potential for the destruction of humanity like UFOs, aliens and beings from another planet or alternatively prehistoric animals is something very inherent at the moment.

On the other hand, the collapse of the universe by the sophisticated computer systems we have created is a brilliant idea, but in practice nothing has happened there other than the recognition that it is one of the most glorious anxiety attacks known in the modern age.

And we already exhausted it almost 22 years ago.

What brings back to our lives the nuisance in question is the cycle of nostalgia and the theory around it that talks about the length of time between 20 and 30 years it takes to give every trend trend from the past an aura of longing spiced with sentimental romance.
