of

Riccardo Szumski

, 69, mayor-doctor of Santa Lucia di Piave (Treviso ), decided for its denial positions on Coronavirus, vaccines and the Green Pass.

A Venetian exponent, in his fourth term as mayor - he was elected for the first time in 1994, with a 'pause' from 2002 to 2012 - several times Szumski has been noted for his eccentric initiatives and his critical utterances, which have come to touch in recent days also the Head of State.

Politically, Szumski came to the "limelight" towards the end of the 90s, placing himself alongside Life and the milk Cobas of the historic Vancimuglio garrison; invited the Governor of Carinthia Joerg Haider to the historic village fair in 2001. In 2014 he paid the 'Mini-Imu' owed by his own citizens with the municipal coffers.

Among the other 'deeds' figure the denial of the square of Santa Lucia for the celebrations of 2 June; the refusal to sign the Anci protocol for welcoming migrants, the distribution of St. Mark's flags to newborns, birth and marriage certificates written in dialect.

As a doctor, in addition to filling out prescriptions for drugs and tests in dialect, he confessed to having "helped" a friend to die, then with the pandemic he immediately expressed distrust of Covid-19 and then towards vacciuni, haranguing citizens in deniers rallies in the park.

Finally, he had a gazebo raised in the open air on the side of the town hall, so as not to undergo - he is not vaccinated - the swab every two days to enter the municipal offices.

However, Szumski will be able to continue to practice his profession by appealing to the Central Commission of the Ministry of Health, which suspends the Order's provision.

However, his position remains under consideration by the Ulss 2 company of the Treviso area, since he has not vaccinated himself against Covid, and for this reason he could be immediately suspended from service.
