Will the fourth corona wave bring with it new rules for shopping?
Kaufland takes a clear position towards Merkur.de.
Munich - The fourth Corona * wave is raging through Germany.
Case numbers and incidences are increasing rapidly every day.
Due to the rapidly increasing numbers, more and more restrictions are being planned for public life.
A further tightening of the current rules cannot be ruled out.
There is also increasing talk of a nationwide 2G regulation, according to which only those who have been vaccinated and recovered will have access to certain areas of public life.
Unvaccinated people, on the other hand, will not be able to gain access with a test.
In view of the escalating situation, the question now arises: will this rule also apply to shopping?
Corona: Will there be a 2G regulation for Kaufland?
- Clear statement from the supermarket

statement
on this at the request of

.
The answer shows: an introduction of 2G in the supermarket is unlikely despite the currently critical corona situation.
Kaufland rejected a possible introduction of the 2G regulation.
"As a food retailer that ensures basic supplies, we are not affected by the 2G regulation," said a spokesman's answer.
The supermarket will also continue to adhere to the previous regulations, including the mask requirement: "In our branches, the well-known distance and hygiene rules as well as the mask requirement still apply."
The discounters Aldi and Netto also clearly positioned themselves.
A 2G or 3G regulation for Aldi branches is currently not planned, while Netto also ruled out a 2G regulation.
This is not an option for the discounter.
Corona rules: Federal states with 2G option for retail - decision on masks after the end of the epidemic
The governments in Hesse and Lower Saxony offer retailers the option of only allowing access to vaccinated or recovered customers.
This created the legal basis, but the decision still rests with the food companies themselves. Several discounters such as Lidl and retail chains such as the Rewe Group had previously rejected the introduction of 2G.
Another sticking point is the mask requirement when shopping.
How things will proceed with this will be decided on November 25th after the end of the epidemic situation.
A transitional regulation is to apply until March 22, 2022.
