    "A woman's body was found in a landslide on Highway 99 on Monday morning near Lillooet (250 km north of Vancouver) and searches continue today," announced the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the federal police. , in a press release.

About 7,000 residents of the city of Merritt, located 300km northeast of Vancouver, were evacuated on Monday.
