The 'Grand Tour' on display at the Gallerie d'Italia in Milan

The Gallerie d'Italia-Piazza Scala, Intesa Sanpaolo museum in Milan, dedicates an exhibition to the 'Grand Tour. The Gallerie d'Italia-Piazza Scala, Intesa Sanpaolo museum in Milan, dedicates an exhibition to the 'Grand Tour. Italy's Dream from Venice to Pompeii', which will be open to the public from November 19 to March 27 2022. The exhibition , curated by Fernando Mazzocca, with Stefano Grandesso and Francesco Leone, is created in partnership with the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and the Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg.

There are about 130 works on display from the Intesa Sanpaolo collection, from private collections and numerous Italian and international cultural institutions that will lead the visitor to discover Italy, the privileged destination of the Grand Tour in the eighteenth century for writers, intellectuals and young aristocrats who were forming.

The presentation of the exhibition, with an intervention by the curator Fernando Mazzocca, will be streamed tomorrow at 6.00 pm on the Ansa.it website and on the gruppo.intesasanpaolo.com website.

Also present were Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, President of Intesa Sanpaolo and Giovanni Bazoli, President emeritus of Intesa Sanpaolo.
