“It's an innovative process that was dormant in the boxes of a company specializing in the manufacture of cements,” says Cédric Simonin, CEO of Trianon Résidences.
An Alsatian promoter who has just delivered the “Heart Déco” residence in Saint-Louis (Haut-Rhin).
A building of 54 apartments, seemingly banal, but which nevertheless has a unique technology in France.
“We bought the binder made by this cement manufacturer and we integrated it into the bricks that make up the facade.
This product contains photocatalysts, ”explains Cédric Simonin.
These bricks thus react to light and trigger an oxidation process allowing the absorption of polluting substances.

“Knowing that the residence is located on a very busy avenue, this facade fights against automobile pollution. It has the capacity to swallow the equivalent of the CO2 emissions of 20 cars per year, ”assures the CEO of Trianon Résidences. A figure that may seem ridiculous. An observation however defeated by Cédric Simonin: “The idea of this project is to encourage our fellow promoters to equip their future constructions with this technology. The cost of a cleansing facade like this is 100,000 euros for a building that costs 6.5 million euros. "
A novelty which is part of Trianon Résidences' desire to build “healthy buildings”.
“The Heart Déco residence is connected to the heat network of the municipality of Saint-Louis supplied by mass combustion, which allows home owners to have inexpensive energy bills”, underlines Cédric Simonin.
