(ANSA) - BOLZANO, NOVEMBER 18 - Due to the dramatic trend of the covid pandemic in Upper Austria and in the Land of Salzburg, a general lockdown is triggered on Monday for the entire population and not only for the unvaccinated.
The weekly incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants in the Salzburg region today is 1672 and in Upper Austria by 1557. "We no longer have much room for maneuver," said the governor of Upper Austria Thomas Stelzer.
The lockdown - he said - will last "a few weeks" and it was necessary to allow the hospitals to operate.
At this point, even a general national lockdown is no longer excluded, with an incidence of 971. (ANSA).
