"The agri-food sector in Italy, according to 2020 data, is worth € 208 billion, equal to 12.6% of GDP. It employs just under one and a half million people, or 6% of the total number of employees ", added the minister.
"In the first seven months of 2021, Italian exports in this sector increased by 10.3% compared to the same period in 2020, reaching almost 21 billion euros. Wine exports alone, which grew by 14.5%, are worth almost 4 billion euros. EUR".
