Damascus University and Princess Sumaya University for Technology in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding for scientific, academic and research cooperation and to encourage student and academic exchange.

According to the memorandum signed yesterday by Dr. Mayssa Al-Seyoufi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Mashhour Al-Refai, President of Princess Sumaya University at the university’s headquarters in Amman, the two sides will cooperate in the field of exchanging faculty members, lecturers and researchers in the areas of participation in lectures, professional development and educational issues in a way that benefits both parties, as well as an exchange Students of all academic levels and practical training in areas of common interest.

The two sides also cooperate, according to the memorandum, in organizing joint international research events, holding scientific conferences, seminars, workshops and training courses, in addition to exchanging publications, bulletins and periodicals issued by the two sides in areas of common interest, and implementing joint educational and research programs and projects.

The memorandum also stipulated the exchange of short visits for faculty and administrative staff with the aim of exchanging experiences and participating in various academic events, as well as long visits to professors as visitors or delegates to carry out scientific research missions.

A delegation from Damascus University, consisting of Dr. Al-Seyoufi and Dr. Muhammad Firas Al-Hinnawi, Vice President for Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, visited Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Jordan during the past two days with the aim of promoting and developing scientific cooperation between the two universities.

Princess Sumaya University for Technology was established in 1991. It is a private non-profit university affiliated with the Royal Jordanian Scientific Society RSS, the oldest applied research center in Jordan. It is part of the Al-Hassan Scientific City and is headquartered in Amman. and business.
