. Exhibited at the MoMa in New York (1976, 1988 and 2014) and in Europe, the American photographer presents for the first time in France such an important photographic ensemble. The Château d'Eau de Toulouse, the oldest public gallery dedicated to photography in France, now directed by Christian Caujolle, is offering this retrospective thanks to the assistance of the MEP (European House of Photography), the Éric Dupont and Fraenkel galleries Gallery and private collectors.

For forty-seven years, Nicholas Nixon has photographed his wife, Bebe Brown, each year with his three sisters, Heather, Mimi and Laurie.
Forty-seven photographs, all exhibited, over time.
The first was taken in 1975 during a stint in the in-laws.
The sisters are in their twenties.
The photographer retries the experience the following year.
