on Tuesday, November 16, the manufacturer, based in Erfurt, urgently warns its customers against consuming the sauce.
There is a threat of salmonella disease.
Recall of pistachio sauce: manufacturer warns strongly against consumption
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and a slight fever are typical symptoms of salmonella poisoning.
Consumers who experience such complaints after consuming the pistachio sauce should urgently consult a doctor and inform him about the possible infection with salmonella bacteria.
Salmonella danger: If symptoms occur, sick people should see a doctor
Although the symptoms usually subside on their own after several days, the pathogens can trigger more severe disease processes, especially in infants, toddlers, seniors and people with weakened immune systems.

Affected by the recall are the AL-BURJ Tahini (sesame) pistachio sauces in 800g packs with an expiration date of July 2022. According to the manufacturer, salmonella has been detected in this product.
