Princess Charlène of Monaco has again sought medical treatment.

In order to protect her privacy, she will not be treated in Monaco, her husband, Prince Albert II, told People magazine.

"It has nothing to do with our relationship, I would like to make that very clear," emphasized Albert.

"Since I know that there are a lot of rumors: It is not Covid," he said in the interview.

“It has nothing to do with cancer, either.

Not even with cosmetic surgery. "

Charlène's family attended Monaco's National Day celebrations on Friday.

In addition to husband Albert, the two children, Gabriella and Jaques, also came.

The six-year-old twins held up posters on a balcony that read "We miss you, Mommy" and "We love you, Mommy".

It had long been clear that Charlène would be absent.

The palace had already announced on Monday that the princess needed a break in order to get well.

The medical treatments were exhausting.

The 43-year-old must also recover from a state of general exhaustion.

Albert also gave no information about the type of facility.

All he said was that Charlene needed "weeks of clinical treatment" to recover.

Nor can she take part in family life.

Commitment to animal welfare in South Africa

Charlène had been stuck in her native South Africa for months.

Her departure was initially delayed by health problems.

She had actually flown to South Africa to support the fight against rhino poaching.

She had visited a nature reserve where rangers dehorn rhinos to protect them from poachers.

She then reported to local media that an oral surgery performed before her trip had delayed her return to Europe in the small principality.

She was treated in the hospital several times.

She was stuck in the coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal, where she once trained for her career as a competitive swimmer.

She even spent her tenth wedding anniversary in the Cape, where she says she still has strong emotional ties.
