The events organized by Unione Degli Studenti, Rete della Conoscenza and LInk - University Coordination were held in over 80 squares in various Italian cities, mobilized against the budget law and to request greater investments in the right to education and a structural change in the system of public education: "Today we are in the streets because we want to bring our needs and our proposals to the center, politics must listen to us" the students say in a note.
In some cities the police stations have banned the demonstrations at the last minute or imposed changes to the route and methods. "Today's mobilization - they explain - is also a response to the attempted repression made by the Ministry of the Interior with the directive of 10 November: we are not willing to let our protest be invisible" continues Manuel Masucci, from the Knowledge Network
Milan, Turin, Rome and Naples
are just some of the big cities where the mobilizations took place; marches, principals, protest actions and assemblies will be the forms of mobilization put in place by the students, all with one goal: "It is necessary to change education to change the system and there is no more time: we are the future that rebel ".
