The English driver preceded his Dutch rival Max Verstappen, at the wheel of a Red Bull, and Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas Charles Leclerc was eliminated in Q2, as did Mexican Sergio Perez, Verstappen's teammate on Red Bull.
