(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 21 - KHARTOUM, NOV 21 - Hundreds of Sudanese demonstrators took to the streets again today in protest against last month's coup and the subsequent military repression that has cost the lives of at least 40 people so far: witnesses report eyepieces. Demonstrators marched in central Khartoum, in the eastern state of Kassala and in the northern city of Atbara despite this morning's announcement that General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and ousted Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok have reached an agreement for the latter's return to lead. government and the release of the civilian leadership held after the coup. Also according to eyewitnesses, the police threw tear gas at the demonstrators.
Meanwhile, the prime minister's office announced this morning that "the forces that guarded him" at his home "have withdrawn" and that therefore Hamdok is once again free to sport.
