A few weeks after the collapse of the Zan bill, Codacons responds with 'Where there is heart, there is home', the new calendar signed by photographer Tiziana Luxardo.

Dedicated to the unconventional family, the photo album in black and white, but with a strictly rainbow frame, aims at a real social promotion campaign.

With this theme, announced by Codacons last May on the occasion of the International Day against homophobia, lesbophobia, transphobia and biphobia, a new geography of the Italian family is drawn, more real and less conventional, de facto unions, with or without children, restricted or enlarged, which tells about new forms of affection, complicity and even parenting.

"The intent - explains Tiziana Luxardo - is to treat this issue not from an ideological point of view but by creating an empathic and emotional impact: they are families that have been functioning for many years, some intertwine complicity in life, others collaborate at work, all of them they are based on respect.

In these twelve shots I wanted to frame each family with an element of color: a symbolic rainbow ribbon that forms a house around them ».

Twelve shots break stereotypes to combat discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

"If last year the calendar dedicated to the rebirth of the country hit by the 'Italy' pandemic had aroused several controversies - comments the president Codacons, Carlo Rienzi - this too will provoke protests from moralists and right-thinking people".

The patron of Miss Italy Patrizia Marigliani will also be present at the International Women's House at the presentation press conference on Tuesday 23 November. It is the first time that the House, a bulwark of feminism, opens its doors to the beauty contest. In fact, in the calendar among the protagonists there is one of the pre-finalists of the next edition of Miss Italy, Giulia, portrayed with her partner. Giulia is the first openly homosexual competitor in the historic contest.

Among the photos, the one dedicated to Edda Billi, one of the first homosexual women declared in Italy, stands out. Revolutionary, visionary and poet, she is honorary president of AFFI and founder of the International Women's House. Its history is made up of striking battles against the patriarchy. "Lesbofeminist", as she defines herself, has made her great love for women her political path, always with a clear eye and attentive to gender inequalities. Then there is the one dedicated to Maria Laura Annibali with his wife Lidia. Activist and documentary maker, since 2014 Maria Laura is President of the Di 'gay project association. The calendar does not lack the extended family, solid as a pyramid, and the elderly couple, apparently traditional, who have happily lived together 50 years of different sexual choices. And then there are families made up of two mothers with a child with artificial insemination: Marilena and Valentina with Cristiano and Veronica and Valeria with Tommaso. In the latter, Veronica's grandmother is also portrayed, a symbol of the acceptance of a homogenitorial family even by a different generation and, perhaps, often less inclined to understand certain changes in society.

"I finally wanted to close - explains Tiziana Luxardo - with a family closer to the traditional ones in which there is a father, Maurizio, a mother and many children: an extended family. Differences, separation and academic divorce do not have never could divide the indivisible. Legitimate daughters, fostered daughter, grown son, always, indisputably their children. And then the grandchildren. I wanted to give this family group the shape of a pyramid, a symbol of the stability and solidity that binds them ".
