When it comes to films and series, of course, tastes diverge. Top 10 rankings and other listings therefore do not mean that the winning series will trigger enthusiasm in every viewer. But rankings can be a good thing when you're looking for a new series. Are you? Then you might be interested in the new BBC Culture Top 100 list. The culture channel of the public broadcaster in Great Britain has taken on the question of
which series are among the best of the current century.
A total of 206 TV critics, journalists and industry representatives from 43 countries voted for 460 different series, according to

The BBC Top 100 came about when each of the voters named their ten favorite television series of the 21st century, it goes on to say.

79 productions were conceived by male serial producers, ten were developed jointly by men and women.

2nd place: Mad Men (2007-2015)
3rd place: Breaking Bad (2008-2013)
4th place: Fleabag (2016-2019)
5th place: Game of Thrones (2011-2019)
Rank 6: I May Destroy You (2020)
7th place: The Leftovers (2014-2017)
8th place: The Americans (2013-2018)
9th place: The Office (UK) (2001-2003)
10th place: Succession (2018-)
