Camille Monday with her husband and stepchildren (camille_munday)

A stepmother named Camille has so far shared more than 5 million viewers about her attitude toward her stepchildren.

She claims that despite the criticism she snatches from people around her, she imposes severe discipline on her stepchildren, drops them on household chores and calls them "my stepchildren."

She added: "It works for us - and that's what matters."

Camille shared a short video on her ticketing page, @camille_munday, where she claimed she did not take the criticism to heart because she knows her stepchildren are happy.

She opened the video with the sentence: "Things I do as a stepmother that other people hate."

Pregnant Camille added: "I discipline my stepchildren, I give them chores and I call them my stepchildren online."

Next to the video she wrote: "It works for our family and that's what matters!".

In another video she explained what her method of education is: "As a stepmother, I have to set boundaries in our home."

Camille says she works according to the "1-2-3 magic" method.

That is, as soon as she counts up to 3 and the children have not yet done what they were asked to do, they are sent on a time-out or "paid for their actions".

In another video, she replied to a critic who wrote to her, "I hope you are not hitting these kids."

She replied: "Discipline is not beatings. I do not agree with any kind of physical discipline."

This is one of her teaching methods:

The original video garnered about 6,000 responses, some cheering and some furious. One wrote in response: "I am a stepmother too. I do not understand why people get so upset when I call a girl 'my stepdaughter'. I think it respects the biological parents." Another agreed with Camille: "As a biological mother, I do not see what the problem is with her behavior." A third viewer added: "People confuse discipline with punishment."

At the same time Camille has been criticized by many who have disagreed with her decision to educate children who are not biologically hers. Most of the criticism came from young people. One wrote: "No. I will respect my father's wife but she is not my mother so she has no authority over me." Another added: "Stepmothers think they can control us. If we do not want you to be our parent, then you will not be! It is our decision, not yours." Another observer wrote: "No. The biological mother and father are the ones who need to educate the child. This is not your child or your business. "
