On the basis of the vote which reached 76.71% of the seats,
the ultra-right candidate José Antonio Kast
leads
the presidential elections with 28.19%,
ahead of the leftist candidate, Gabriel Boric
(25.24%). Five other candidates follow with much smaller votes: US-resident entrepreneur Franco Parisi with 13.24%, outgoing government candidate Sebastián Sichel, who has already admitted his defeat, with 12.33%, the candidate of the former center-left concertation, Yasna Provoste, with 11.93%, the leftist Marco Enrique Ominami (7.62%) and the candidate of the extreme left, Eduardo Artés, with the 1, 45%.
The succession to the outgoing president Sebastián Piñera will therefore be resolved in the
ballot, scheduled for December 19.
