Hard weeks ahead

The progression of the virus worries the health authorities in France.

The fifth wave of Covid-19 will have "a significant impact" on health establishments, of the order of "1,000 to 1,500 hospitalizations per day", and this "for several weeks", warned Jean-François Delfraissy, President of the Scientific Council.

In the rest of Europe, several countries have implemented restrictions.

Belgium has announced the generalization of the wearing of masks and also wants to make teleworking compulsory for jobs which allow it.

The Austrians, despite a strong grumbling expressed in the streets this weekend, have been confined again since midnight and until December 13.
