Draghi: 'Hateful violence, protection of women absolute priority'

"The protection of women is an absolute priority for the Government, which intends to tackle the hateful problem of gender-based violence in all its aspects, from prevention to support for victims".

This was declared by Prime Minister Mario Draghi, expressing full support for the measures to combat gender-based violence presented in view of the world day of 25 November.

"The Government allocates new resources to help women, to accompany them on the path to escape from violence, to foster their economic independence" to strengthen assistance to women and minors "in defense of their rights and of our society".
