The Kiel public prosecutor has charged a dentist with triple murder.
The 47-year-old is also charged with violations of the War Weapons Control Act and the Weapons Act, as Chief Public Prosecutor Michael Bimler said on Monday.
According to the indictment, the man shot his separated wife and her acquaintances on May 19, 2021 at eleven o'clock in a single-family house in Dänischenhagen with a Uzi type submachine gun.
Then he is said to have killed another acquaintance with another pistol in Kiel.
The suspect is said to have shot his 43-year-old wife because of the separation and the man because of the relationship with her.
The dentist blamed the third victim for the failure of the marriage.
