(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 22 - "Vaccinations are not just the tool that has saved us and is allowing us to contain the offensive and the dangers of viruses, but a sort of referendum on science. Until yesterday evening 86% were vaccinated citizens over 12 years old, if we add those who cannot do it and cured we are 90%.
This referendum was won 9 to 1 in favor of science.
We must be grateful to our citizens who put Italy at the forefront of external consideration ".
Thus the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, at the inauguration ceremony of the academic year of the La Sapienza University.
