Les Restos du cœur, the association created in 1985 by comedian Coluche, is launching their 37th winter campaign this Tuesday, in the midst of the 5th wave of Covid-19.
Its new president, Patrice Douret, explains to

how he anticipates this new season which promises to be difficult as the crisis has aggravated the precariousness.

LE FIGARO.- The Restos du cœur are launching their 37th winter food distribution campaign this Tuesday, in the midst of the 5th wave of Covid-19. How does it announce itself?

Difficult.
Insecurity in France has worsened with the Covid-19 crisis and all our indicators have risen sharply last year: 142 million meals distributed;
1.2 million people welcomed in our 2,000 places of activity in the region;
+ 25% of our street activities over two years ... We observed an increase in the poverty of people we already knew and welcomed 15% of new beneficiaries, who would not have come to the Restos du cœur without the crisis.
