(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - "It is possible today to free ourselves from violence against women because there is an entire country that wants to promote possible life out of violence". This was stated by the Minister of the Family Elena Bonetti speaking at a conference in Montecitorio on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on the ten-year anniversary of the Istanbul Convention.
Bonetti recalled that "the government has launched a new plan to combat violence against women" and "in the budget law it proposes that Italy should have a national strategy for combating violence against women that has governance, a cabin direction and an observatory involving the world protagonist of this battle,that of anti-violence centers and shelters ".
Finally, the economic resources: "they cannot be renewed year by year but they must be structural: we have foreseen them in the Budget law for systemic actions of an informative and support nature. We are talking about 30 million that we hope Parliament will be able to further enrich", concluded Bonetti.
