The leading financier in the sector has apparently found a way to drastically reduce his investments in French cinema.

By abandoning its generalist channel model.
Instead of offering, as today, an offer made up of a common base, the Canal + channel, to which subscribers can add optional sports or cine-series packs, the Vivendi subsidiary could decide in the future to to build two completely distinct services: one dedicated to cinema and series, the other devoted solely to sport.
Canal +'s strategy is not without risk.
It will not be easy to set up for current subscribers, those who have access to cinema and sport.
Canal + will have to manage so that they find, despite the separation of offers, all the rights to which they already have access.
