Daycare children in Gera found the peeled fur of a rabbit on the premises of their facility on Monday.
As the police announced on Tuesday, it could come from the animal that was stolen from the daycare garden in early November.
At that time, unknown people took three rabbits out of the barn.
One of the animals was allowed to run in the garden, one was dead in the meadow with cuts on the head, the third had been taken away, the police said.
A witness who wanted to feed the animals called the police at the time.
This continues to investigate the facts and looks for evidence of witnesses.
