After six days of strikes within the editorial staff of France 24, the mobilization is coming to an end.
The employees meeting in general assembly this Tuesday, November 23 did not wish to continue the movement.
"
Only 13.9% of the employees meeting in general assembly [...] wanted to continue the strike
", explains the Twitter account of the movement.
One of the knots pushing employees to strike is the issue of "
managerial violence
" denounced by the movement.
At the microphone of France Inter, the director of the channel Vanessa Burggraf had admitted that a "
malaise
" affected the editorial staff of the channel.
The lack of resources allocated to a channel broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 444 million homes is announced.
Several advances have been made, in particular the establishment of 50 freelancers on permanent contracts by the end of 2023, including around thirty as of next year.
“
These freelancers have been waiting for these CDIs for sometimes more than twelve years,
” the movement noted in a statement released this weekend.
