(ANSA) - PARIS, NOVEMBER 24 - "France will not let La Manica become a cemetery": the French president, Emmanuel Macron, affirms this after the death of at least 31 migrants in La Manica, according to a final still provisional budget reported by the Elysée.
The French president, who will be in Rome tomorrow for the signing of the Quirinal Treaty with Prime Minister Mario Draghi, also calls for an "immediate strengthening of the Frontex agency at the external borders of the EU".
And he asks for an "emergency meeting of the European ministers involved in the migration challenge", assuring that France "will do everything necessary to find and convict those responsible".
