(ANSA) - GENOA, NOVEMBER 24 - The Remembrance Committee of the victims of the Ponte Morandi was excluded from the civil parties during the preliminary hearing as part of the investigation into the collapse.

According to the judge, the victims' committee, which brings together most of the family members, cannot be admitted as a civil party due to "lack of legitimacy given that it was formed after the facts".
The gup is excluding most of the associations that have asked to be a civil party.
"Obviously we are very sorry for this decision, we hoped for acceptance also in the light of the previous judgments. This does not slow down our collective action by one iota. Obviously we will act in the common interest even as single relatives".
