(ANSA) - NEW YORK, NOVEMBER 24 - The American economy grew in the third quarter by 2.1%, above the + 2% of the first estimate, but under the expectations of analysts who bet on + 2.2%.


    Unemployment claims in the United States last week dropped 71,000 to 199,000, the lowest since 1969. The figure is better than analysts expected, who were betting on 260,000.


    Durable goods orders in October fell by 0.5%.

The figure is worse than analysts' expectations, who were betting on a 0.2% increase.
