The Potsdam public prosecutor's office charges the rapper Bushido with community arson.

A spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office confirmed a corresponding report by the »Stern« for SPIEGEL.

Bushido, whose real name is Anis Ferchichi, is accused, according to the report, of hiring two accomplices in December 2013 to start a fire in the roof structure of his house in Kleinmachnow.

It is said that he was able to circumvent monument protection regulations during the renovation of the villa and received compensation from the insurance company.

In December 2013, the rapper's villa in Kleinmachnow, Brandenburg, burned down.

The roof structure was badly damaged.

Even then, the police announced that there were indications that the fire had been started deliberately.

The "Stern" had already reported last year that an alleged accomplice had stated that he had started the fire on Bushido's order in order to circumvent the monument protection.

The information comes from a conversation with the accomplice that Arafat Abou-Chaker recorded.

Trial of Arafat Abou-Chaker

Abou-Chaker is on trial at the Berlin Regional Court.

He is charged with attempted grave extortion, dangerous bodily harm, coercion, deprivation of liberty and other allegations.

Bushido is a joint plaintiff.

Abou-Chaker is supposed to be Bushido in January 2018

locked up, verbally abused and attacked with a plastic bottle and a chair.

According to the indictment, he did not accept that Bushido broke away from him on business.

Abou-Chaker is silent about the allegations.

Bushido has a criminal record.

In 2017 he was sentenced to 11 months probation for attempted fraud.

He had tried to fake a break into his aquarium business.
