Covid-19: 360,000 appointments made Wednesday on Doctolib for a booster dose, a new record

The record of 218,000 appointments made on the Doctolib site on Tuesday, in order to receive a third dose of vaccine against Covid-19 was largely broken and this, the next day.

On Wednesday, no less than 360,000 new appointments were booked on this site, in order to obtain a second booster dose.

We also note an increase in appointments for a first dose (21,500 were taken Wednesday), while more than 6 million inhabitants in France have not received any.

How to explain this revival?

The leaks in the press of the probable content of the government announcements on Thursday could indeed decide the French who already have the possibility, to receive this third dose of vaccine as soon as possible.

Accelerate the “vaccine booster campaign”?

According to our information, Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, could indeed announce the imminent enlargement of the public concerned by this new injection, which was until now recommended for the over 65s and will concern the over 50s to from December 1st.
