Every person with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma has his lucky star: on December 3rd, 4th and 5th the Ail Poinsettias will return to over 4,300 Italian squares, thus renewing the historic appointment with solidarity promoted by the Italian Association against leukemia. lymphomas and myeloma for more than 50 years alongside haematological patients and their families.

The minimum contribution to receive the Christmas star is 12 euros.

From 6 December until Christmas it will also be possible to collect the Ail Poinsettia at one of the over 400 Faxiflora florists active in some Italian provinces.

To find out in which territories the service is active, consult www.ail.it (from Monday 6 December). Also this year, in addition to the traditional Christmas tree, in many Italian squares it will be possible to receive the star "Chocolate dreams", again with a donation of 12 euros. Cruciani then makes the "Stella dei Desideri" bracelet available to Ail, available on ailshop.it with a donation of 10 euros. The Stelle di Natale Ail initiative has made it possible over many years to raise funds for the financing of scientific research and assistance projects and has contributed to publicizing the progress in the treatment of blood cancers. In the last edition of the initiative, 249,523 plants were distributed in 1,753 distribution points in Italy. 4,529,617 euros were collected.

Ail stresses "now more than ever, to put first the patient diagnosed with blood cancer who is particularly fragile and delicate as his immune system is highly compromised and, therefore, more at risk. The results in scientific studies and innovative therapies that are increasingly effective and targeted, including immunotherapy with CAR-T, the latest frontier in cancer treatment, and stem cell transplantation, have led to a great improvement in the diagnosis and treatment of haematological patients, adults and children ". "However, it is necessary to continue on this path - emphasizes the Association - and to invest more and more resources in haematological research to reach new goals and make these diseases more and more curable".To find out where to find the Ail Poinsettias, visit the website www.ail.it, download the Ail Eventi app or call 06 7038 6060.
