British pop musician Jessie J claims to have had a miscarriage.
The 33-year-old wrote on Wednesday in an Instagram post in which she addressed her fans.
An examination shortly before had shown that her child no longer had a heartbeat, she wrote.
“I made a decision to have a baby myself.
Because that's all I've ever wanted and life is short, "wrote Jessie J:" Getting pregnant was in itself a miracle and an experience that I will never forget and that I know I will I'll do it again. "
But she did not want to cancel a performance in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.
"I'm still in shock, the sadness is overwhelming," says the singer: "But I know that I am strong and I know that I will make it."
Thanks to fans for support
Some people would advise canceling at such a moment.
But the appearance helps her to process what has happened.
She wanted to be herself and not hide: "Not just for the audience, but for me and my little baby, who did its best."
In an Instagram story, the singer then thanked her fans for their support.
At the end of 2018, Jessie J said at a performance in London that, according to doctors, she probably could not have children.
She told the BBC in 2019 that she had changed her lifestyle to increase the likelihood of having a child one day.
Jessie J is known for songs like "Price Tag" and "Domino", among others.
