French fishermen block ferries from Calais to GB

(ANSA) - PARIS, NOV 26 - The planned blockade by French fishermen of the ferries that guarantee maritime connections with Great Britain has begun in the port of Calaisil.


   The aim of the protest is to obtain the swift granting of post-Brexit fishing licenses by London in a context of repeated tensions between France and Great Britain.

According to reports from the AFP, 5 fishing boats arrived from the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer block the access to the port of Calais, an operation that should last an hour and a half, as part of the national day of action of French fishermen which began in Saint- Malo.
