The police found an extensive arsenal of weapons and anti-constitutional symbols in a man in Stollberg, Saxony.
During a search in the suspect's house on Thursday, a multi-loading rifle, a loaded revolver and four other handguns as well as a mortar shell, two anti-tank grenades and ammunition were discovered, according to the police in Chemnitz.
Most of the items came from the Second World War.
There was also a swastika one square meter in size on the wooden floor of one of the rooms.
SS runes were emblazoned on one wall - and in one window there was an Erzgebirge light arch - a so-called Schwibbogen - with a swastika.
Investigations were initiated against the suspect for violating the War Weapons Control Act in unity with the use of symbols of anti-constitutional symbols.
The officers had become aware of the man in the course of investigations in another case.
The weapons and ammunition were removed with the help of the ordnance disposal service of the Saxon police.
