(ANSA) - NEW YORK, NOV 26 - This time on Wall Street Black Friday is really black.
The New York Stock Exchange has in fact closed the seat in a swoop, in the wake of the concerns triggered by the new South African variant of Covid.
The DowJones lost 2.52% to 34,900 points, the Nasdaq 2.23% to15,491 points and the S&P 500 2.26% to 4,595 points.
This is the worst Black Friday in the history of the American Stock Exchange, which has not recorded such a negative performance since at least 1950. With today's decline, the Dow Jones records the week down by 2% and the Nasdaq by 3.5%.
