(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 27 - While Europe and the United States take measures against the new Omicron variant of Covid, India has recorded the lowest increase in new cases in 541 days.

The Guardian reports it.

In the last 24 hours, 'only' 8,318 infections were reported by the Ministry of Health.

The number of victims remains very high, 465 in one day.


    Active cases are currently 0.311% of the total, the lowest percentage since March 2020, while the recovery rate is 98.34%, the highest since March 2020, the health ministry said.
