(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 27 - In the United Kingdom, the first two cases of coronavirus linked to the new variant Micron have been confirmed.
They have been reported in England, Nottingham and Chelmsford, Essex.
The two cases, discovered "last night", are "connected" to southern Africa, and both are self-isolating together with their families, while further tests are carried out.
"This is a reminder that the pandemic is far from over," explained Javid, adding that tests are underway in the areas of the two reported cases: in Chelmsford, north-east London, and Nottingham, in central England.
